Six Die in Mine Blast
Logansport Pharos-Tribune, Indiana
February 20, 1913

Eldorado, Ill., Feb. 20. -- Six men are dead and four are in a serious condition as a result of an explosion in the Eldorado Coal and Mining Company's mine, known as the Seagraves mine, at this city, which occurred as the day shift was going to work.

Joe Lawson and John Dunn are listed among the dead.  The rest are Italians.  The explosion was caused by a flame from an open flame coming in contact with a pocket of gas and probably aided by coal.
